John Josephakis

Global VP of HPC/Supercomputing. NVIDIA

John Josephakis is Global VP of Sales and Business Development for HPC & Supercomputing at NVIDIA. In his role he is involved accross multiple segments of the market from Research Computing to Energy and Manufacturing leading many WW AI initiatives. He has more than 30 years’ experience in high performance computing with a career that started working with the US Department of Energy and many WW Research Centers. Prior to NVIDIA, he ran Sales and operations for Cray Inc. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas and an MBA from Saint Edwards University.

Yonadav Buber is currently the CEO of Baromar, and energy storage company. He is an entrepreneur and a developer with over 20 years in the energy sector. Founded and financed 800+ MW of generation projects in Central America. Yonadav holds an LLM, LLB and BA - all from the Reichman University​.

Kostas Bakoyannis

President of the Commission for the Environment, Climate Change, and Energy (ENVE) at the European Committee of the Regions

Kostas Bakoyannis is a fellow at the Hertie School in Berlin and the President of the Commission for the Environment, Climate Change, and Energy (ENVE) at the European Committee of the Regions. He also works as a strategic consultant and leads the opposition in the city of Athens.  

He served as Mayor of Athens from 2019 to 2023. Previously, he served as Governor of Central Greece from 2014 to 2019 and as Mayor of Karpenissi, from 2011 to 2014.

Born in 1978 in Athens, he graduated from Millfield School (1996, UK), before attending Brown University (2000, USA) to study History and International Relations. He continued with postgraduate studies in Public Policy, with a specialization in Macroeconomics, at Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government (2004, USA). He holds a D.Phil. in Political Science and International Relations, from the University of Oxford (2019, UK) and was a resident fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy School Institute of Politics (2024, US). 

Bakoyannis has worked at the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs and as executive manager in the private sector in Athens. He has also held positions in the European Parliament in Brussels and the World Bank in Kosovo.

He is a council member of the European Council on Foreign Relations. In 2022, he was declared “Grand Officier de l'Ordre de la Couronne” by the King Philippe of Belgium. 

He has served in Greek Special Forces as a Paratrooper.

Bora Markovic

Nature Photographer and influencer

Born in Serbia and raised in the nature of Serbian villages. In 1990s during the Yugoslavian conflict I was brought to Cyprus with my family. Starting a new life in this gorgeous island I went through Cypriot public school system and studied Applied Multimedia bachelor in the University of Nicosia. During my studies I started doing photography and continued staying close to nature through my camera. In 2020 right after the first quarantine I started making videos about Cyprus nature, a journey that has shown me the best and the most well hidden places of Cyprus.

Abdulrahman Al Baker is the Director of Production Planning and Water Resources at Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa), where he leads strategic planning across

Qatar’s power and water sectors. His work focuses on shaping the country’s long-term energy mix, integrating water and energy systems, and advancing national sustainability objectives.

With extensive experience in utility planning and policy, Al Baker plays a central role in developing Qatar’s energy transition roadmap, including renewable energy integration, desalination optimization, and system reliability. He has been actively involved in driving initiatives that support Qatar National Vision 2030 and the National Development Strategy, particularly in expanding renewable energy capacity and improving cost efficiency across the sector.

He is a recognized voice in the GCC energy landscape, contributing to discussions on energy policy, grid resilience, and the evolving role of storage and renewables in modern power systems.

His work bridges technical planning, regulatory frameworks, and executive decision-making, enabling large-scale infrastructure development and cross-sector coordination.

Abdulrahman is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and an advocate for innovation in energy and water systems. He regularly engages in regional and international forums, sharing insights on sustainable infrastructure, integrated resource planning, and the future of utility

systems in arid environments.

Anita Zachou

Agricultural Engineer - Expert Olive Oil Taster by Jaen University - Production & Quality Consultant - Brand Architect - Founder of Mykonos Olive Oil Tasting

Anita Zachou is an agricultural engineer, certified olive oil expert taster, and the founder of Mykonos Olive Oil Tasting, a pioneering concept that redefined olive oil tourism in Greece and internationally.

She is widely recognized as a trailblazer in experiential olive oil education, introducing immersive tastings in luxury settings such as yachts and private villas, and elevating olive oil tasting into a refined cultural and gastronomic experience.

Trained in Spain with a scholarship from the International Olive Council, Anita consults producers and mills worldwide on premium extra virgin olive oil creation, sensory excellence, and brand development. She is also a Mediterranean Diet ambassador, educator, and international olive oil competition judge.

Christos D. Katsanos Agronomist, ESG Ambassador & Brand Strategist

With over 32 years of experience across the food value chain in SE Europe, Christos D. Katsanos is an Agronomist with advanced studies in Business Administration and Negotiations. As the co-founder of DKG Group and TROPOS Branding, and a Special Associate of ERGO HUB, he serves as an ESG Ambassador dedicated to the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals. His expertise lies at the intersection of Regenerative Agriculture, the Circular Economy, and Carbon Offsetting, bridging the "Green" and "Blue" economies.

At the Green Agenda Conference, Christos will address the modern necessity of connecting Branding with ESG criteria. He will explore the tension between Agriculture and Tourism in regions like Greece and Cyprus, advocating for CO2 emission reporting and sustainable food systems as key drivers for brand repositioning. By intertwining carbon accountability with brand identity, he demonstrates how the primary sector can evolve into a sustainable, high-value partner for the tourism industry.

Dimitris Palaiogiannis

Founder of Eudaimonia Tourism Non-Profit Organisation and creator of Zorbabook-‘Responsible Explorer’

Dimitris Palaiogiannis is the founder of Eudaimonia Tourism Non-Profit Organisation and creator of ‘Zorbabook’-‘Responsible Explorer’, Greece’s first loyalty ecosystem focused on responsible tourism. 

Having studied International Tourism Management at the University of Brighton, he has spent the past decade working across Greece in community-based tourism, destination and local experiences promotion, collaborating closely with destinations, local communities, producers, small businesses, and hospitality initiatives.

Through documentaries, storytelling, and various tourism initiatives, his work focuses on preserving authenticity-cultural identity, and the long-term relationship between tourism, local communities, and the future of destinations.

In 2025 he launched the documentary series ‘Topos’ for Eudaimonia Tourism, exploring the unspoken truths and interconnections of Greek destinations, locality and tourism. In each episode, he engages in honest conversations with locals, uncovering their hopes, challenges, and visions for the future.

Dimitris created in 2024 the Eudaimonia Tourism ‘Destination & Next Generation - Co-Creating the Future’ program. An innovative, holistic tourism program focused on empowering the next generation of strategically selected destinations, through immersive workshops, collaboration, approaches to responsible tourism, preservation and sustainable development. 

The programs goal is to develop a responsible & holistic tourism conscience, while inspiring young locals to engage in the authentic, responsible tourism value chain, preserve their uniqueness, evolve, flourish and contribute towards local prosperity. 

All his efforts aim to promote a more conscious, community-driven tourism model that creates long-term value for destinations, local people, and future generations.

Professor Dimitris Melissas

Lawyer and Managing Partner at Law Firm "Dimitris Melissas and Partners"

Professor Dimitris Melissas is a Lawyer and Managing Partner at Law Firm "Dimitris Melissas and Partners". He practices law before the Council of State and the Administrative Courts of Appeal in matters of urban planning, spatial planning, energy and environment.

He teaches Urban Planning Law, Spatial Planning Law, Energy and Environmental Law at the Faculties of Civil Engineering and Architecture of the National Technical University of Athens.

Director of an interdisciplinary Laboratory entitled "Digital Technology Laboratory for Technical Projects" at the School of Civil Engineering, National Technical University of Athens.

Vice-President of the Scientific Council of the Institute for European Constitutional Sciences (Hagen - O.D. Germany).

 He has authored and edited 34 studies and 72 articles in Greek, German and English. He practices law before the Council of State and the Administrative Courts of Appeal in matters of urban planning, spatial planning, energy and environment.

Antonia Theodosiou

Commissioner for the Environment and Animal Welfare, Republic of Cyprus

Antonia Theodosiou has served as the Commissioner for the Environment and Animal Welfare of the Republic of Cyprus since January 2024. She is an Architectural Engineer with a Master’s in the restoration of historic monuments, an Environmental Engineer, and a licensed Tourism Guide, with longstanding professional experience at the intersection of environment, culture, and sustainable development.

She played a leading role in promoting the Sustainable Development Plan for the Akamas Peninsula and contributed to the inscription of “The Art of Dry Stone Walling, Knowledge and Techniques” on UNESCO’s List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. She also co-conducted research for the documentary Petra stin Petra on Cyprus’s dry-stone heritage.

Ms Theodosiou has received national and international awards for projects in monument and anthropogenic landscape restoration. She has co-authored publications on traditional architecture, cultural landscapes, dry-stone heritage, and the environment.

She serves on the boards of the International Scientific Society for Dry Stone Interdisciplinary Study (SPS), the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), the Mediterranean Information Office for Environment, Culture, and Sustainable Development (MIO-ECSDE), and other national and international organisations.

GEORGE Papanastasiou

​Former Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry

George Papanastasiou has served as Cyprus’ Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry since March 2023. A mechanical engineer by profession, he studied in Cyprus and the United Kingdom before spending 26 years with BP plc in Cyprus and across Europe, including serving as the company’s Head of Country in Cyprus. Before entering government, he was Managing Director of VTT Vasiliko Ltd, where he oversaw the development and operation of the Vasilikos oil storage terminal. Over the years, he has built extensive experience in the energy sector, particularly in oil and gas, logistics, operations, safety, and corporate governance.

Constantinos Yiorkadjis

Chairman of The Nicosia District Local Government Organization

Constantinos Yiorkadjis is the Chairman of The Nicosia District Local Government Organization, a newly constituted Local Government Authority established under the District Organizations of Local Government Law of 2022. The Organization now serves as the central authority responsible for key public service functions in the Nicosia District such as Water Supply, Sewerage, Stormwater Management, Development Permitting, Solid Waste Management.

He served as Mayor of Nicosia from January 2012 to June 2024. During that period he led the initiative to develop and revitalize Nicosia and to transform it into an aesthetically pleasing, friendlier, more sustainable and inclusive city, for all residents, visitors and future generations

Prior to taking office as Mayor, he worked for 17 years in the private sector, in multinational corporations in Romania, Greece and Cyprus. He holds two bachelor’s degrees with distinction, one in Economics and one in Business Administration, both from Boston University.

Politician

Mr. Sophocleous was a member of parliament in the Nicosia Electoral District, elected with the Democratic Alarm. During the 2003 presidential elections, he served as coordinator of the Staff of Collaborating Forces and Personalities of Glafkos Clerides, while in the 2008 presidential elections, he served as coordinator of the pre-election campaign of Ioannis Kasoulides.In 2017, he became Director of the Office of the President of the Republic, under the presidency of Nicos Anastasiades. In the context of the 2018 presidential election campaign, he was responsible for preparing Nicos Anastasiades' governance program for the country. He also served as Executive Director of the Glafkos Clerides Institute.

Byron Ioannou

Head of the Department of Architecture

As the Head of the Department of Architecture and the Director of the Urban Planning and Development Unit at Frederick University, Professor Byron Ioannou brings extensive expertise in architecture and urban planning. His academic qualifications include degrees in Architecture and Urban & Regional Planning from the National Technical University of Athens, and Planning Law from Leeds Beckett University. His research and professional activities are focused on key urban issues such as climate neutral planning, housing, sustainable mobility, density and sprawl, public space, urban green spaces, planning law, and the development of inclusive settlements. His professional experience is highlighted by award-winning designs in waterfront regeneration, public space, and master planning. He has also contributed his expertise as a board member and accredited expert to numerous national, European, and international bodies involved in the built environment and urban design.

Demetris Tsiakkis

Head of Business Development and Strategy-Altia 

Demetris heads Altia Business Development and Strategy and is responsible for driving the company’s growth by implementing strategic initiatives, identifying partnerships, and exploring new markets and products within the real estate sector.

Prior to joining Altia, he was a Director in Deloitte Middle East’s Financial Advisory practice, specializing in M&A, performance optimization, and data analytics. Having worked in Deloitte London for most of his career, he has been involved in transaction deals exceeding €30bn in total value, many of which related to companies operating within the real estate and hospitality sectors.

Demetris is a Chartered Accountant with the ICAEW and holds an MEng in Civil and Structural Engineering.

George Petrou

Chairman of the EAC Board of Directors

George Petrou is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Electricity Authority of Cyprus and a longtime figure in Cyprus’ energy and business sectors. A mechanical engineering graduate of the University of Surrey, he held senior leadership roles with Shell plc and BP plc in Cyprus, Athens, and London, including serving as Chairman and CEO of BP Cyprus. He is also the founder and president of the PETA Holdings Group, which includes STAROIL Cyprus, and has played an active role in business and energy policy through the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation and environmental initiatives such as Cyprus Marine Environment Protection Association.

Professor Andreas Poullikkas

Energy systems expert and academic 

Professor Andreas Poullikkas is a Cypriot energy systems expert and academic with a strong background in engineering, energy policy, and sustainability. He holds multiple advanced degrees, including a PhD and a higher doctorate from Loughborough University in the UK, and is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (FIET). He is Professor of Energy Systems at Frederick University and has previously served as Chairman of both the Cyprus Energy Regulatory Authority and the Cyprus Energy Strategy Council. His career spans academia and industry, including senior roles at the Cyprus University of Technology, the Electricity Authority of Cyprus, and a visiting post at Harvard University, alongside extensive research and publications in the field of energy systems.

Director-General, Research and Innovation Foundation (IDEK)

​Theodoros is the Director General of the Cyprus Research & Innovation Foundation (RIF), the national funding agency for research, technological development and innovation in Cyprus.
Prior to joining RIF in 2020, Theodoros held strategy and business development roles within large multi-national corporations, including CKHH and Colt. He has led the launch of new lines of business and has taken new services to the market.
Theodoros holds an MBA from Warwick Business School, UK, an MSc degree in Communications and Signal Processing from Imperial College, London and a BEng (Hons), First Class, in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from UMIST, UK.

Paris Hadjiodysseos

Senior Manager, Climate Change and Sustainability Services, EY 

Paris is a Senior Manager in the Climate Change and Sustainability Services team of EY Cyprus and supports the EY Global Digital Grid team. He joined EY in 2022, having worked in the U.K. for over 10 years where he managed and led a suite of engagements and projects to support decarbonization and the wider clean energy transition. Paris specializes in a range of decarbonization and wider energy topics including distribution networks, smart grids, flexibility services, low carbon technologies, energy using product policy and energy efficiency. He led technical design, policy and strategy work, technoeconomic analysis, change management initiatives and industry wide stakeholder engagement to support public and private clean energy transition projects in Cyprus, the U.K., other European and developing countries. Paris is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the Engineering Council (UK) and holds an MBA, an MSc and a BEng in engineering subjects. Paris is also a member of the Scientific and Technical Chamber of Cyprus (ETEK), a PRINCE2 Practitioner and is IOSH certified.

Kyriakos Kokkinos

Εx-Deputy Minister to the President  for Research, Innovation and Digital Policy

Kyriacos Kokkinos is former Minister for Research, Innovation (R&I) and Digital Policy, Republic of Cyprus. He previously served as the National Chief Scientist and Chairman of the Board for Research & Innovation Foundation RIF. He is a distinguished professional with more than 30 years of experience in Executive Strategic Management, Technology and Consulting, served at senior Executive roles in global corporations -such as IBM Europe - and served at Board level of many organisations. He serves at Board level of private companies and Institutions as non-exec director as well as he is the founder and chairman of Outthink Insights Consulting, an advisory management and technology consulting firm. He is a Member of the Governing Board (and Member of the Executive Committee ExCo of the Board) of the European Institute of innovation and Technology EIT https://eit.europa.eu/ and he is a certified International Director and Corporate Governance from INSEAD business school https://www.insead.edu/ . 
 
He is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions for professional excellence. He holds an MSc and BSc degrees in Electrical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology NJIT (USA) and Executive MBA from Henley Management College (UK).

Demetris Lottides

Agenda Cyprus Summits Founder

With the launch of the magazine Must in 1999, Demetris Lottidis established a small magazine publishing business that, along with his brother Christis, has grown into one of the most significant media conglomerates in the nation. He is regarded as one of Cyprus' media industry's forerunners. He founded numerous Cypriot print and digital publications (such as Man magazine, Beautiful People Magazine, DECO, and WiZ Guide), as well as Must fashion, street festivals, and other events. In 2008, he spearheaded the initiative to publish the historic Athenian newspaper KATHIMERINI in Cyprus as a collaboration with its parent newspaper KATHIMERINI, with the goal of creating Cypriot media characterized by quality and propriety, supporting Cyprus's European direction. He founded the Digital Agenda Cyprus Summit, which aims to establish an annual regional technology conference that will support the country and the broader region as a hub for the exchange of ideas and solutions for humanity's future.
He studied journalism and law at the Kapodistrian University of Athens and has a Master's degree in  Communication Policy Studies from the CITY University of London. He is a supporter of biodiversity and sustainable development, serves on numerous boards and associations for the media industry, and has been publishing articles on a regular basis for 25 years.

Paris Demetriades

Multimedia journalist at Kathimerini Cyprus 

Paris Demetriades is a multimedia journalist and skilled videographer at Kathimerini, covering a wide range of stories that span from everyday people and their lived experiences to interviews with politicians, business leaders, and entrepreneurs. He has a strong interest in culture, the environment, and entertainment, often exploring how these areas connect with society at large. His work combines storytelling and visual reporting, driven by curiosity and a focus on making diverse topics accessible and engaging for a broad audience.

Joseph Antoniou

Chief Risk Officer at Eurobank Cyprus

Joseph was born in 1984. He graduated from the English School Nicosia and in 2006 obtained his B.Sc. degree in Economics, from the University College London (UCL). He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds an Executive master’s in Business Administration (Executive M.B.A.) from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom, having earned various academic awards.
Between 2007 and 2017 he worked in various Global Banking Institutions in London, after completing his Chartered Accountant’s qualification with Ernst & Young London, while working within their Investment Management Assurance practice. In 2010 he joined the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), as Manager in a variety of Group and Divisional Strategy and Risk roles. At RBS, Joseph was heavily involved in the balance-sheet restructuring that underpinned the Bank’s financial and operational turnaround during that time, including work on the ringfencing of the Bank’s Retail activities, RBS’ divestment of ~300 branches and the Asset Protection Scheme. In 2014, Joseph joined HSBC, as a Senior Portfolio Manager, leading a plethora of de-risking activities with a focus in commercial banking and a mandate that span across the European region and immersed himself in key strategic and regulatory risk initiatives for HSBC Europe.
In August 2017, he joined Hellenic Bank as Manager of Enterprise Risk Management & Governance. In April 23rd 2020, he was appointed as Interim Chief Risk Officer of Hellenic Bank and in September 10th 2020 was appointed in the position of Chief Risk Officer. He was a core member of the deal team that negotiated the agreement for the acquisition of ex-CCB assets and liabilities as well as the agreement for the acquisition of the performing loan portfolio from RCB Bank Limited.

Constantinos Hadjigeorgiou

Head of Sustainability and Product Management, Alpha Bank Cyprus Ltd

Constantinos is a change management specialist, with 25+ years of experience in Financial Services and Consulting. After working in three continents (Europe, Asia and Africa), he joined Alpha Bank to lead the Sustainability Initiative of the Bank. He helps organizations to implement wide-scale programs and to navigate the intricacies of the human aspects of change. 

He is an engineer with an MSc in Geographical Information Systems, MBA and he recently graduated from the INSEAD Business School with an Executive Masters in Change. He is a versatile professional and holds various multi-disciplined professional qualifications.
